The second day was a fine day. Because it was a dry season in Thailand, all day were beautiful during my stay.
I woke up early and went to the station to get a train to Ayutthaya. Although it was in the morning, trains did not seem to run on schedule. Since Thai people do not speak English well, it was not easy to find right train for my destination. With a little anxiety, my train departed with two hours delay from the time table.
I felt very long until getting to Ayutthaya. It was difficult for me to understand even train announcement of station name in Thai language. I asked a couple of people around me at the station which looked like Ayutthaya and got off there.
Ayutthaya is a kind of island city, which is surrounded by rivers. I got a ferry boat to the center of Ayutthaya.
As planned, I rented a bike and explored in the old city. I finally arrived at Historic City of Ayutthaya which is one of UNESCO world heritage site.
It was probably around 4PM to arrive to Japanese village which is a bit off the center of the city. There was no visitor other than me.
I got used to have foods at open stand by then. Pretty comfortable except for flies always flying around foods.
Next post will be the day 3. Go back to the day 1 while waiting.
